Trash Cinema Vol. 2: The Best of 1999

What happens when you connect an old VHS player and try to play some ’90s videotapes? Do they still work? How good is the quality? What sound does the tape make when you insert it into the player?

Join the seventy-minute live showcase featuring your favourite 90’s video cassette tapes being played on the big screen. A selection of scenes from found video tapes and DVDs will be played randomly, offering a nostalgic flashback to life before streaming.  

Join host Daniel Stern on stage with the remote controls to a fully functional retro home entertainment system. The working stage prop features VCR and DVD players connected to the Trash Cinema big screen. The entire stage will be fitted with vintage technology and furniture salvaged from the trash piles of Berlin.
