Fargo | A Coen Brothers Film
Before the TV series, the Coen brothers created a classic dark comedy with a great cast including Frances McDormand (Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri). McDormand won her first Oscar for her role in the film as very pregnant police chief.
“Fargo” is a reality-based crime drama set in Minnesota in 1987. Jerry Lundegaard is a car salesman in Minneapolis who has gotten himself into debt and is so desperate for money that he hires two thugs, to kidnap his own wife.
