    The running retreat is this weekend and you need to plan ahead to have the best experience. The festival is set in the lush forests of Friedland, just a couple of hours from Berlin. It’s a peaceful spot near the Polish border, surrounded by nature—and it’s easy to reach by car or train. The campsite has a beautiful private lake, plenty of room to pitch your tent, and cozy spaces to hang out, grill, or sit by the fire. The internet in Brandenburg can be patchy, so download the Google map for offline use. Klingemühle 4 15848 Friedland, OT Chossewitz Brandenburg, Germany How to Get There By Train (Take your bike or book a shuttle bus ticket) The nearest train station is Grunow (LOS), also called Grunow (Niederlausitz). You can choose how to travel from the train station to the summer camp. Option one is to bring your bike and ride the final 10km. The second option is to buy a shuttle bus ticket and take the shuttle bus. A third option is to leave your luggage with the shuttle bus for free and run or hike the last 10km. OPTION 1 (VIA KÖNIGS WUSTERHAUSEN): Take the S-Bahn to Königs Wusterhausen Then jump on the smaller train, RB36, towards Frankfurt Oder Get off at Grunow OPTION 2 (VIA FRANKFURT ODER): Take the RE1 from Berlin Hauptbahnhof or Ostkreuz to Frankfurt Oder Change to the RB36 towards Berlin/Königs Wusterhausen Get off at Grunow From Grunow to the summer camp is up to you. Ride your bike, catch the shuttle bus, leave your luggage with the shuttle bus and take off on your bike or run/hike the last 10km. SHUTTLE BUS There is limited space on a private shuttle bus that runs between the Grunow train station and the campsite. The bus leaves from the small bus shelter right in front of the train station. You may have to wait in line as the bus comes every 30 minutes. Tickets are €10 for both the trip into the camp on Friday and the return trip on Sunday. The shuttle bus begins on Friday at 17.00 and runs until 21.00. Try to arrive early to avoid waiting in line. ARRIVAL When you arrive at the summer camp, make your way into the village. You will find the administration desk and a team member will check you in and give you a wristband. They will point out the camping areas or if you have booked a cabin, they will show you the way. CARS, VANS & RVS We encourage guests to use public transport. But cars, vans and RVs are welcome. Find a park first, and after speaking with the team, you can move into the best spot for the weekend. Carpooling For the sake of the environment, we encourage attendees to arrive by public transport— but if you must drive… why not carpool! FOOD & DRINK You’re welcome to bring your own food and drinks. There’s a shared grill in the Village area. You can also buy meat for grilling at the bar. The camp kitchen will also serve food all weekend—breakfast, lunch, and dinner, with vegan and vegetarian options. There is also a bar serving drinks all weekend. Please note that the bar and kitchen is **CASH **only! The internet in the forest is not reliable and payment systems do not work. Bring some cash with you and you will have no problems buying food and drinks. Please note: There are no shops nearby. If you’re coming by train, make sure you buy groceries in Berlin or Frankfurt Oder before you arrive. WHAT TO BRING Tent and camping gear for September evenings Mosquito spray and long-sleeved clothes The right outfits—something for running, swimming and relaxing, something in case it rains, something warm for late-night movies.
